Monday Mood Check

SPEAKER_00

Welcome back to Aligned in Alive. It's Monday, and maybe you're motivated or maybe you're not. So here's a quick reset.

Shift State With Your Body

SPEAKER_00

One thing that's simple, immediate, and effective. If you are feeling stuck right now, it's not about trying to find a whole new plan or strategy. The fastest way to feel alive again is to shift your state. Change your physiology for 90 seconds. Not your mindset, not your strategy, your body.

The 90-Second Movement Reset

SPEAKER_00

So here's what I want you to do: stand up. Yes, actually stand up. Okay. Roll your shoulders back. Lift your chest ever so slightly. Unclench your jaw. And take one slow breath in through your nose. Hold for a count of four. And a long exhale through your mouth. All right, now we're set. Set a timer for 90 seconds and move your body with intention. So just grab your phone or whatever's in front of you. Look at a clock and make sure you are dialed in for 90 seconds. 90 seconds of squats, of jumping jacks. Put on a song and shake it out. Dance, move your body, go on a quick power walk, whatever you want to do. Step outside and get some sunlight in your eyes and just start moving. You have to get into a state. You actually have to get into action. And why?

Why Physiology Changes Mindset

SPEAKER_00

It all comes down to a nervous system state. When you move your body, you interrupt the loop. You send a signal of safety and momentum to your brain and you shift from freeze into action, into flow. So most people try to think their way out of stagnation, and that will never work. If you try and sit and think your way out of a sense of being stuck or looping, that's only going to perpetuate more monkey mind syndrome, which is what I like to call it. You just keep spiraling in the mind. So we have to physically get you into a state of action. Physically. This is exactly how high performers move their way out of a situation.

Commit And Build Momentum

SPEAKER_00

So before you give up on your day, before you say, you know what, it's just, it's not working for me this Monday. I'm just going to try to get through the day. And you have that negative mindset and you're already throwing in the towel, stop. Just move. 90 seconds. That's it. Okay. Momentum is built in motion, not in rumination. And notice how different your decisions feel from a regulated, activated state. It's so much different. So commit to this for at least 90 seconds. And if you're feeling just overachieving this morning, then do five or 10 minutes. Just get moving. Make it a beautiful, prosperous, and powerful Monday.
